The company of August Kühnscherf & Söhne specialized in producing steel framed display cabinets which were in high demand by museums around the  world.

This new type of display cabinet were composed of slender wrought iron frames holding large glas panels which was a novelty in the late 19th century. The doors of the otherwise undecorated cabinets feature corner reinforcements of a very appealing design.

Fortunately we were able to acquire a number of the cabinet doors recently and are now looking for ways to bring their history and beauty to a new life.

So far we used them as frames for photographs, mirrors and doors - as originally intended.
